Resilience This special issue results from a call for papers to address the connection between resilience and sustainability, and stems from the fact that the Ecological resilience, the ability of an ecosystem to maintain its normal patterns of nutrient cycling and biomass production after being subjected to damage caused by an ecological disturbance.
